Reason for the project:
Renovation of a condo built in 1987 in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec.
Transformations:
In this originally dark condo with a cramped floor area, the kitchen was opened to the living / dining area, transforming this space into an open, spacious and bright room. The custom kitchen furniture was created in a matte white finish for the top cabinets and in a matte wood finish for the bottom cabinets. The soft white quartz countertop creates a subtle link between these two colors.
Removing walls between kitchens and living areas is not the only solution to opening up spaces: replacing staircase walls with glass brings light to this particular space, makes it part of the living area and renders this block into a lighter version of itself.
